Nicolas Cage Talks about Almost Playing The Green Goblin

June 6, 2002 — Nicholas Cage was on the Howard Stern Show today to promote Windtalkers. Howard asked him why he turned down the role of The Green Goblin. Nicholas told Howard that at the time, he was in an artistic movie phase and was offered a role in Spike Jonze's Adaptation. Nicholas saw Spider-Man, thought it was great, and loves Willem Dafoe. He's not sorry for not playing the Goblin.
