| What villains should be used in the Spider-Man movies? |

| Let's assume there will be more than one. For the first movie, I really think they should have Doc Ock as the main villain and introduce Norman Osbourne, to become the Green Goblin in a later installment. Doc Ock is the best known Spidey villain amongst those who aren't very familiar with the comics or cartoons, those who will ultimately make up the majority of the film's audience. If you must have two villains in the first film, why not introduce a lesser villain like Electro, Sandman, or Scorpion as a henchman?A good idea for a future Spidey flick might be a variation on the Kraven's Last Hunt storyline with Lizard taking the place of Vermin. The Vulture and Mysterio could also work, together even. Imagine a Spidey-flick (part 3 or 4, hey, I can dream . . .) that has Spidey going up against the Vulture, whose ability of personal flight gives him just enough of an advantage over Spidey to give him the win in their first couple of encounters. Adding insult to injury, an upstart hero named Mysterio enters the scene, promising to take down the "dangerous rogue vigilante" Spider-Man. Mysterio of course kicks Spidey's ass in their first encounter. Ultimately, Spidey learns that Vulture and Mysterio are working together on a plan to pull off some sort of major heist. It makes sense, both are disenfranchised loners who became villains to prove themselves to a world that had rejected them, so it seems natural they'd meet up and join forces in some complex scheme.Of course, some villains just wouldn't work in the movies. Carnage and Venom for example. Also, Hobgoblin is a bit too similar to Green Goblin to really work.
