News from WENN has surfaced that producer Richard Zanuck has been in talks about a sequel to ths Summer's "Planet of The Apes." But why the 2003 Release? Creators of the film want to wait another year to ensure audiences are desperate to see it by the time it arrives.

"We don't want to rush the film into theaters next year - we'd rather buy extra wanna-see time for the sequel," Zanuck says "Right now, we're tossing around ideas for the story. We want to take our time and get it right."
