And this wasen't a remake. So they wouldn't remake the sequel to the orginial.

No it wasn't a remake. It was Tim Burton's own take on the first movie.

And there was news a long time ago, like a couple of months after the movie came out saying that it was very unlikely that a sequel would be made.

Me, too.

But the orginial Pota were the best.

You know what they shoulddo is not make a sequel to this, but make a sequel to the orginial Pota. They were the best.

Planet of the Apes
Beneath the Planet of the Apes
Escape of the Planet of the Apes
Conquest of the Planet of the Apes
Battle of the Planet of the Apes

I loved when it was human vs ape, ape saying humans were bad and vise virsa, but I did like it when the apes and humans lived together.

SEQUEL PLEASE!

See I just found this piece of news (pay no attention to them calling it a remake).

Tim Burton says no way to 'Apes' sequel

By JAM! Movies

Anyone who has seen the remake of "Planet Of The Apes" knows the cliffhanger ending left the door wide open for a sequel, but director Tim Burton says he won't be the one crossing that threshold.

Reuters reports Burton told Britain's Independent newspaper Friday that his aversion to a sequel is related to his growing disenchantment with Hollywood studios.

"The idea of doing a sequel -- I'd rather jump out of the window, I swear to God," Burton told the paper.

"They give you a script, and you do a budget based on that, and say 'This movie would cost $300 million to make', and then they treat you like a crazy, overspending, crazy-person. It's like, 'Well, you gave me the script'," Reuters quoted Burton.

The only way to get your way in Tinseltown is to go "ballistic and psychotic," he added.

"I'm fascinated by the studio technique that sort of leaves you bloodied, beaten and left for dead right before you're supposed to go out and make a great movie for them."

So they don't need Burton, he doesn't own it, they could get a new director.

Yeah I know they could, and that would be great too. I mean after I saw Tims movie, I was like, "We totally need a sequel."

If theres anyone who could do as good as a job as Burton, it would be Peter Jackson. I would love to see how he would do on a sequel.

p.s: I got all the original movies on dvd cause I bought the Complete Collection which looks like this.

I really think there should be a sequal to the movie planet of the apes. Its just the way it ended I would think there would be a sequal to this. This was a very good movie and I just don't understand why tim will not make a part two to this movie, planet of the apes was indeed a great movie and should make a part two to this. If anyone knows if they will please let me know. But it would be good to have another good movie on what happens if tim would just make a part two, I think it would be a very good idea to make another one.

I wish Mr. Burton would make a sequel to Planet of the Apes . But I know he won't it seems that he dosn't do sequels . The only sequel he did was Batman Returns and Batman : Forever (Ex-Producer).

As for Peter Jackson , I don't think he would do it , I mean first King Kong than Planet of the Apes 2 . People will think he must like monkeys .

I definitely think someone should do it. There's lots of political stuff it could comment on today. Maybe Phillip Noyce could do it.
