| Just FYI, my dear, you're not suppose to GET the ending. Many cats who've spent weeks scrutinizing over the ending to "Apes" like they were analyzing Zapruder footage have been paying with their lives. Recently, Variety magazine reported a bizarre phoenomenon with people who've claimed to have seen the flick numerous times only to suffer spontaneous cranial combustion, "Scanners" style. It's like this, they sit, they get to the ending, they debate, then suddenly, BOOOOOOOOOM, big mess for the ushers to clean up all because Tim Burton really wanted to figure out a way he can truly f*** with our collective skulls and it seems he has. So, a mind is a terrible thing to lose to exploding head syndrome and just remember it's just a movie, a phrase I've said more times than I can count on my opposable thumbs.
