Steven Soderbergh wanted to make a re-make of this film to begin with? I never saw the original, but from what I heard, it wasn't all that great a film in the first place. It was done just because it had the total RAT PACK involved in it. Was there an interview somewhere that Soderbergh gave in which he explained why he wanted to make this flick? Because I'd be interested to read his commments and to see what he had to say about this.
