March 10, 2003 — According to Variety, scribe Tedi Sarafian will write the remake of 'The Creature From the Black Lagoon' for producer Gary Ross' Universal-based Larger Than Life company. Ross' father, Arthur Ross, penned the script of the original 1954 creature feature. It is unclear whether this remake will follow the planned direction intended by previously attatched director Guillermo del Toro (Blade II) or if they are simply moving ahead without him because of his busy schedule.
