November 16, 2002 — Director Guillermo del Toro confirmed for CountingDown that while he is interested in directing a remake of 'Creature from the Black Lagoon' for Universal, and he does have a pitch prepared, Universal may have to go ahead on the project withtout him due to his busy schedule.
