I've seen the original.

I think they're probably going to do to this one what they did to King Kong: fantastically advanced CGI and other effects, but more than likely not improving (and possibly HURTING) the story.

Why be so negative? Some remakes actually turned out to be good and better.

I don't know for sure but I highly doubt they'll make the Gill Man CGI. He's a lot smaller than Kong so he'll most likely be done with a tall guy in a realistic costume like there doing with the Wolfman remake or like what they did with the Underworld movies with the Werewolves.

Ok. Ok. I'm not putting the film down before I SEE it. I'm just saying what I THINK will happen.

I always try to keep an open mind, at least where FACTS are concerned. So please, name some remakes that you believe to be good. We can have a polite little debate/discussion.

I'll start. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was pretty good, though the tunes weren't anywhere NEAR as memorable as the original.

Next?

Dawn Of The Dead 2004-it made a lot more sense that the zombies took over the world if they were fast. That's why I believe it's better than the orginal.

War Of The Worlds 2005

Maimi Vice 2006-that's was one of the most realistic movies I ever seen because it was dark and grim like how the real world is.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003.
